Education

Deerfield USD No. 216 is one of the top-rated school systems in the state for academics, athletics and fine arts.

The Deerfield Spartans are pleased to offer low pupil to teacher ratios and opportunities for students to participate in extra curricular activities without the burden of tryouts. With lower numbers of students enrolled in school, Deerfield welcomes participation in all of the extra curricular and fine arts activities. A balance of curriculum between the traditional and modern is offered with high-tech learning labs having high speed internet in all buildings, and feature courses through 2-way interactive television that allow the students and teacher to interact as they are instructed. Deerfield’s school district is proud to provide pre-Kindergarten curriculums. College level classes are offered through cooperation with Garden City Community College. These classes are taught during the school day to qualified high school students and also offered to adults in the evenings. Schedules of classes are dependent on interest; offering a wide array of programming each semester. Deerfield’s alumni have made impacts throughout the nation and world. For students who can’t afford to go to school, loan with a guarantor is there to help. Visit and read this article for more information.
